Board Game: Good Puppers

Got a card game about cute doggos for Xmas, so hell yeah we played it right away. 

The Game: Good Puppers
The Publisher: Asmadi Games
Time: 30 minutes or so
Players: Michelle, me, Cael, Kai

Game Play: Everyone gets a hand of cards. Said cards all feature a dog, categorized by an adjective and a breed (so one might have a Loyal Corgi, a Noble Lab, a Playful Pomeranian, and so forth). Each doggo also has a number attached. Everyone chooses a dog from their hand and reveals it at the same time, highest number goes first, and then in turn you play that dog and do its Trick.

The "Tricks" are variations on burying bones. See, the back of the cards depict a yard with four numbers on the borders (1, 2, 5, 10). If you bury a bone, you take a card from the deck and put it under the dog with the 1 showing. Some Tricks let you rotate bones, increasing their value, or move bones between groups of dog (dogs are grouped by breed).

The game continues until the deck runs out, then every group applies a Game End bonus based on breed, highest point total wins. 

Opinions: I don't have anything to complain about, here. It's an adorable little card game about dogs the artwork is lovely and warm, the mechanics are simple, and the game is replayable (which is sometimes the problem with cute games - it's all about cute and not enough about game).
