Drama Llamas: Bleat Queens - The Finale!

Tonight we finished up our three-session series of Drama Llamas - Bleat Queens (baa)!

This is the finale, so this episode has two mini challenges, a main challenge, and then the crown challenge with a special guest judge! The llamas each take their turn on camera in the confessional - Lulu, That Bitch; Coco, the Almost Famous; and Olive, the Hot Mess. Each of them are determined to make this their week, for all the marbles! 

The llamas are assembled in a room with naught but a trap door in the center of the floor. Their judge, Llama May Quizás, explains this challenge...the Llama Pit. They'll be dropped into the pit from this trapdoor, and they'll need to swim to the edge defiantly. Lulu thinks to ask what's in the pit, and Llama May tells them: fruit smoothie and discarded wool. 

The llamas go off to prepare and think about how to swim defiantly. Olive rants about whether the fruit smoothie is cruelty-free, and Coco offers the others product to help make their fur floofy after their dip in fruit smoothie. 

They undertake the challenge! Olive, as the winner of last episode, gets to choose to go first or last, and chooses to go last. Coco goes first. She's dropped into the pit with a sploosh, swims to the edge whimpering, and hums a lullaby. Lula is dropped in and swims, snorting haughtily, to the edge. Olive is dropped in ("wheee!") and backstrokes to the edge, throwing clumps of wool at the slide.

Llama May appreciates the physicality of Olive's swim, but points out that it really took her too long. Lulu swam defiantly, but didn't put the horror of the situation on display. Coco wins the challenge!

The next day, the llamas meet with Llama May and Anchew Hoofman, who explains their next mini-challenge. It's called A Kiss Before Shearing - they're each given little video cameras and told to set them up anywhere on the property they want, and then record their last moments before "the Shearer" finds them. 

Coco borrows one of the candles (that smell of feet) from Olive, who is initially thrilled to be providing helpful centering aromas. During this brief moment of distraction, Lulu swipes Olive's camera and messes with the settings ("heh, heh, heh"). 

The llamas record their messages and the judges watch them back. Coco lights the candle and uses the awful foot odor to help ground her performance, waxing philosophical about how sometimes the world is just feet. Lulu gives a terse but moving performance ending with "sorry mom!" Olive is up in a tree for hers, which is impressive in itself, but with the sound turned off she just talks silently to the camera and then falls out. Lulu wins the challenge! 

Now it's getting serious. The llamas next work with M. Night Camelflop, on a challenge called Alpak-our! They'll spend the day working with a stunt coordinator on a routine in which they're running away from the deranged Shearer - they have to run up a hill, across a series of buoys in a "lake of acid" (the acid will be added digitally, of course), and then run along a wall and stick the landing. 

The stunt coordinator starts them off with some meditation, which of course suits Olive just fine. Lulu confesses to the camera that she's worried about this challenge; she hurt her shoulder some years back and had to do physical therapy, but even this revelation isn't enough to change her villain edit. Coco talks with the stunt coordinator about movement and how she used to do improv, but during all this, Olive sneaks up and waxes Coco's shoelaces! 

They film the challenge. Lulu gives a solid performance, but doesn't really stand out. Olive hits all the right notes, but she has "Let's Get Physical" in her head and winds up looking like she's out for a happy little run. Coco nails the performance, even though her shoe flies off as she's running across the buoys! M. Night Camelflop compliments her on this improv choice; it really sold the scene! ("Shit," mutters Olive.)

The next day, the llamas meet their special guest judge for their final challenge, and it's none other than acclaimed film director Goatin Furantino! Goatin gives them their challenge: They're going to rehearse and perform a scene in which they're barricading a shack from papaya-virus zombies. These unfortunate llamas are infected with an alien virus that makes them crave papaya, and if they can't get papaya, they'll eat feet! (Papaya tastes like feet, OK? Fight me.) Also, one of the llamas is, herself, infected with the foot virus! It's not obvious from the script who's infected, but the one who is knows it, and she'll just have to convey it in her performance.

The llamas do a table read, and then start rehearsing. Coco name-drops about her time working with Angora Huston, who gave her advice about staying on her feet. Olive talks about her unfortunate experience with not wearing shower shoes at camp, resulting in nearly losing a toe ("and I only have two!"). Lulu gives Olive a luck charm, but it doesn't play on camera (Lulu's still in a villain edit here).

That night, Olive and Coco argue about the scene and...about feet, and Coco winds up back down in the villain edit while Olive is a breakout star. But will that be enough to propel her to stardom!? 

The next day, the llamas perform the scene. They pound nails into planks to keep the papaya zombies out, and Coco very subtly sniffs her hoof to help indicate that she's the one that's infected. Olive lights one of her candles to try and draw the zombies' attention, but Goatin calls "CUT" because that's not in the script.

In the end, after the performance is filmed and the judges watch it and consider all the challenges, they make their choice: Lulu is the Bleat Queen, and will have a starring role in the upcoming film Shears 6! 

Lulu is gracious in victory. Coco invites her on the Coco Channel, and Olive...probably wanders off into the trees and bushes, finally free. Bleat Queens! (baa!)
